The Farewell...

With sadness and gratitude, we had the company farewell lunch for SF and CY today at No Signboard Seafood Restaurant. Almost everyone was present for this farewell lunch. The whole lunch lasted about 2 hr plus, probably because this might be the last time we gather for a meal like this that's why we make it a long one :(

Although the lunch was good just now, but i am not in the least mood to enjoy it.
Personally i detest farewell meals, although usually we get to eat good food at such occasion. I think the good food is merely to compensate for the loss and to make one indulge in the food and forget about the sadness of parting for a while. Having had CY and SF with us for 3 years, i am nevertheless sad to see them go. It will never be the same working without them as they are more than just colleagues to me. We are not only colleagues who have very close working relationships, we are also friends who hang out very often after work. Now that CY is leaving, no one will sms me in the morning to inform me that my boss has reached office so i will try not to reach too late. And after SF leaves, there will be no more soya bean drink sitting on my table in the morning when i comes in :(

I hate farewell. I hate goodbyes.

Though i understand that everyone walks a different path and move on with their life especially with the current situation of the company, I can't help but still feels affected by them leaving. But there is something that i am really glad of despite all the sadness that is filling me right now. That is, our paths crossed 3 yrs ago and we have a good 3 yrs spent together. Especially the crazy stunts we once did in the office with those who were still around at that time - The Water Gun, Egg & Floor Battles against my director.

All the wonderful memories we once shared will be deeply etched.
I will miss the 2 of them. Very much so.
