Conversation With The Boss...

Boss: "It's confirmed that we will be moving out of this office place by the end of this month."

Me: "Really?"

The flow of words was ceased with an excruciating 10 seconds of silence...

The boss looked at me while trying to compose the best reply to me. I see him parting his lips but no words came forth. Apparently words failed him and he just gave me a smile and walked away quickly, afraid that i might detect any hint of emotions in his eyes. For that very instance i was overwhelmed by the sadness i see in his eyes.
A moment later i heard his footsteps walking back to me from behind. Perhaps he is returning with an answer for me, but this time round i stood up and walked out of the office in time before he reaches my desk.
I chose to walk away, to avoid further conversation that would create more emotions than he or me could handle.

And till now, it still aches a little to be reminded of the look in his eyes just now...
